Fruit salad with yogurt, granola and honey

Makes 4 servings

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium bananas

  • 10 grapes

  • 1 kiwi

  • 10 strawberries

  • 2 cups of low-fat yogurt

  • 1 cup of unsweetened granola

  • 2 tablespoons honey

Preparation:

1. Cut the fruit and divide into four bowls.

2. Add the low-fat yogurt and granola on top.

3. Finish with a drizzle of honey in each glass.

Banana Pancake with Oats and Honey

Makes 5 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups (tea) of wheat flour

  • 1 cup (tea) of rolled oats

  • 2 and 1/2 cups (tea) of milk

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 cup (tea) of oil

  • 1 egg

  • Margarine for greasing

  • 1/2 cup (tea) of honey

  • Cinnamon powder for sprinkling

Preparation:

1. In a blender, beat the flour, half of the oats, milk, yeast, salt, oil and egg.

Add the remaining oats and mix.

2. Heat a greased non-stick frying pan over medium heat and fry 1 ladle of batter until golden brown on both sides.

3. Repeat the procedure until the dough is finished. Set aside.

4. For the filling, in a frying pan, over medium heat, heat the butter. Add the banana, sugar, cinnamon and cook for 3 minutes. Turn off the heat and set aside.

5. Divide the filling between the pancakes and fold in half.

6. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve.

Wholemeal bread with fit butter and honey

Makes 5 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of wholemeal bread

  • 2 teaspoons healthy butter (like ghee)

  • 2 teaspoons of pure honey

Preparation:

1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

2. Meanwhile, spread the butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.

3. Place the bread slices in the heated skillet, buttered side down.

4. Let it toast for 2-3 minutes, until the bottom is golden and crispy.

5. Flip the slices and toast the other side for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring a crispy texture on both sides.

6. Remove the slices from the pan and place them on a plate.

7. Finish by drizzling each slice with honey.

8. Serve immediately and enjoy your fit toasted bread with butter and honey!
